Vfest2015 totals raised for local charities and THANK YOUS!

Vfest2015 raised almost $1100 for our local charities! The events at 1982 Bar and Boca Fiesta raised $800 for Peaceful Paths, The Civic Media Center event raised $140 for CMC, and the dance after-party raised $150 ($50 to Aspace and $100 to the Bread & Roses Aint No Shame fund). Thanks so much to EVERYONE involved for supporting and for keeping this community rad. smile emoticon

Vfest welcomes trans* women

I would like to clarify that Vfest is trans-inclusive, and that it IS for all women regardless of genitals.  In solidarity, I would like to acknowledge the trans phobia/cis-sexism that is perpetrated as part of a systemic problem, and the pain that is caused (by not being included in some women's events, or even just not knowing for sure that you will be welcomed!)  V-Fest will continue to be trans-INCLUSIVE, and will continue towards improving, in hopes that everyone can feel free to participate together in this community event.

Vfest 2015 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

V-Fest is a concert & arts series in solidarity with V-Day, an anti-violence/oppression and womyn's liberation movement (trans-inclusive).  Proceeds benefit local services such as Peaceful Paths, CMC, etc.  Events include live music, dance party, "ladies band roulette", and a variety show featuring comedy, improv, poetry, dance routines, and acoustic artists.
Participation is open to all people!
